Firefighter's Pancake Breakfast

The Center City Green Market is proud to present our Firefighter’s Pancake Breakfast to benefit the Firefighters’ Burned Children’s Fund on Saturday, July 18th from 8 am until 10:30 am. Just one block from the Transit Center, this new location is in the heart of the region, within easy reach of transit riders, our work force of 70,000 and the 13,000 who live in Uptown and South End. This yearly favorite is back again. Charlotte Firefighters will be on site cooking delicious pancakes for only a $5.00 suggested donation, with all proceeds benefiting the Firefighters’ Burned Children’s Fund!

Reid’s Fine Foods is supplying all ingredients and equipment for the breakfast, our farmers are supplying our fresh blueberries and firefighters donate the labor for cooking so every penny goes to the Burned Children’s Fund.

Your $5.00 donation goes to help NC Firefighter's Burned Children Fund. You will receive a pancake stack, your choice of toppings, juice and/or coffee. Tables will be available for guests to sit and eat at their leisure. Fire trucks will be on location.

The Firefighters' Burned Children Fund is a non-profit organization developed by area firefighters to support burn survivors and to prevent burn injuries before they occur. The Firefighters' Burned Children Fund promotes the involvement of fire departments and fire service organizations that are interested in working within their communities and with other participants of the Fund in reducing the number and the severity of burn injuries and fatalities. More information is available at www.ffbcf.org.

Christmas In July

LOCAL BURNED CHILDREN'S ORGANIZATION TO PROVIDE CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION FOR AREA HOSPITAL PATIENTS

Firefighters' Burned Children Fund Brings Holiday Cheer to Presbyterian Hemby Children's
Hospital during the Summer

Summer is "trauma season": a time when the number of accidental childhood injuries and hospitalization occur than any other time of the year. In addition, more children with terminal illness receive or opt for surgeries during the Summer months. To give back to our community, FFBCF provides a lighthearted Summer "holiday" to these children.

On Wednesday, July 15th the Charlotte Chapter of the Firefighters' Burned Children Fund will host "Christmas in July" for the children of Presbyterian Hemby Children's Hospital from 10 am until 12 pm. This year the Charlotte Chapter will celebrate the biggest and best Summer Santa visit to the hospital to date. As in years past, Santa Claus and the Charlotte Fire Department Mascot Blaze will make rounds and deliver gifts to the children. Activities will also include visits with Charlotte Firefighters.
